Ice Energy recently exhibited at the Future of Social Housing Conference in Manchester; an event they jointly sponsored with their manufacturing partner Neura AG. The event which took place at the iconic Old Trafford stadium, home to Manchester United FC, attracted delegates from all sections of the social housing industry and proved an extremely worthwhile exhibition.
During the event, Andrew Ellis, Regional Energy Development Manager at Ice Energy took part in a joint presentation co-hosted by Dr Hannes Jakob, Head of International Sales at Neura. The presentation focused on the benefits of renewable energy heating systems and featured a flagship tower block project in Scotland where Neura ground source heat pumps are currently being installed.
The presentation also demonstrated how by using heat pumps, the growing issue of fuel poverty could be addressed thanks to their greater efficiency rates over conventional heating systems which ultimately leads to lower resident bills but higher quality heating.
During the various break-out sessions, Ice Energy staff conversed with delegates on whole house solutions incorporating affordable External Wall Insulation. Ice Energy’s housing team also engaged with councils about battling ongoing condensation problems utilizing revolutionary Aerotherm insulation.
The Future of Social Housing Conference was a great opportunity for Ice Energy to discuss new developments such as the award-winning AirX air source heat pump with delegates, some of which Ice had previously worked with as well as a large number of new contacts.
Andrew Sheldon, Founder and Managing Director of Ice Energy, described the event saying: “It was a well thought through conference with many interesting presentations and discussion topics., With plenty of break-out sessions giving delegates the opportunity to speak with businesses such as ourselves, we had a number of very interesting conversations which we’ll be following up after the event.”
