The short video below gives an over of our award-winning ground source heat pump project in London.
This ECO-funded project enabled the local council to replace a mix of ageing storage heaters and a district underfloor heating system with individual ground source heat pumps in almost 200 flats across four tower blocks.
Each heat pump is individually linked to a bespoke wireless network, which enables remote monitoring of usage and performance as well as the ability to diagnose any potential issues.
In addition to receiving ECO funding for the project, the local council will also be able to generate an ongoing income steam via Renewable Heat Incentive payments, which they will receive for the next twenty years.
The project has already been been voted Large Project of the Year at the Greater London Energy Efficiency & Retrofit Regional Awards 2016, and judged Highly Commended within the Sustainable Housing Scheme of the Year category at the Housing Excellence Awards 2016.
