Ground Source Heat Pump Project: The Only Way is Essex

Ice Energy has worked on a new development on the edge of an Essex village which uses ground source heat pumps for heating and hot water. The development consists of one detached bungalow, one flat, two 2-bed semi-detached houses and one 3-bed detached house. Some of the properties are rented while some are shared ownership.

The residents are local people who would not be able to remain local without developments like these provided by the housing association with which Ice Energy has been working.

Solutions Used

Ice Energy Heat Pumps worked with the housing association specifying the Worcester Bosch Greenstore 6 heat pump using boreholes to collect the heat from the ground. The heating system specified and supplied by Ice Energy was underfloor heating for the bungalow, flat and ground floor of the houses with radiators installed on the first floor.

To date Ice Energy has specified and supplied more than 250 Worcester Bosch Greenstore heat pumps on a number of other new build developments.
